Fay described her Artspace2Let role on LinkedIn:
“Artspace2let is a not-for-profit organisation that arranges the exhibition of art in non-permanent gallery space in Edinburgh. It creates opportunities for artists to gain publicity for their work, giving them the chance to show and sell art publicly, to meet other artists and to gain experience of promoting their artwork. Artspace2Let organises exhibitions of new and emerging artists’ work. I organise the venues and exhibitions, built and maintain the website and source new artists.”
Fay’s friend and Artspace2Let colleague, Craig Cross, summarised her involvement in the organisation:
“In 2009 Fay became involved with Artspace2let, a not-for-profit group that exists to help and encourage new and emerging artists to promote their work. From the beginning Fay’s enthusiasm, admin skills, attention to detail, and good common sense were strengths that drove Artspace2let and led to over a hundred exhibitions around Edinburgh. Fay was a good friend and colleague, and a wise and trusted confidante. Fay was wonderfully encouraging and supportive and nothing Artspace2let did could have been achieved without her. Hundreds of artists have shown their work with Artspace2let since 2009 and since 2012 Fay managed the group with the great support and assistance of Ewan, friends, and several of the artists. However, it wasn’t just the chance to see beautiful art that motivated Fay; she relished the opportunity to meet and work with the talented and lovely artists, and the equally lovely people in whose bars and cafes, and café bistros, the artworks were shown. Many of them became friends.”
