​​When Blair was little, Fay became involved with the Real Nappy Project, selling and campaigning for the use of reusable nappies. This was through an organisation called Changeworks, something that Fay later became a board member of.  Her colleagues at Changeworks said:  “We very much valued Fay’s contribution to Changeworks, initially as a volunteer with the Real Nappy Project and later as a Board Member.  She provided thoughtful contributions and her wider commitment to protecting the environment was always clear.”
