From sponsored famines to cliff jumps

Fay’s passion for fundraising continued beyond her teens, and her activities became more and more daring.  For someone who was afraid of heights, she managed to push herself to her limits several times in order to raise money for charity.

1990: she took part in a 24 hour famine for World Vision

1996: she abseiled down the side of the Glasgow Hilton Hotel to raise funds for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow (where her mum Sheila had laterly spent time during her illness)

1999: Fay ziplined from the Finnieston Crane across the River Clyde, again in aid of the Hospice

2001: she cliff jumped (several times!) into the River Garry to raise funds for The Cancer Research Campaign
